Police ejected Joe Root, James Anderson, Nathan Lyon, and others from a post-Ashes celebration.
In a video, Joe Root, James Anderson, Nathan Lyon, Travis Head, and Alex Carey can be seen being asked by the police to stop partying after a noise complaint was made to the team hotel.
After police were summoned to a hotel in Hobart, England captain Joe Root experienced fast bowler James Anderson, and Australian stars Nathan Lyon and Travis Head, among others, had their post-Ashes party shut down.
The players can be seen being ordered to leave the party by the police in a video that has gone viral on social media.
"Too loud," one police officer can be heard saying. We've been requested to come because you've been instructed to pack up.
"It's time to go to bed." "Thank you," a third voice remarked, while another said, "They simply want to pack up."
According to the Daily Telegraph, the cops were dispatched in response to a noise complaint lodged at the team hotel.
"On Monday morning, Tasmania Police visited the Crowne Plaza Hobart after allegations of drunken persons in a function area," a spokeswoman told The Daily Telegraph.
"Police approached the visitors just after 6:00 a.m. and requested them to leave the area. "Police will not take any further action."
Australia won the Ashes 4-0 and dominated for most of the series. When Mark Wood's six-wicket haul helped England dismiss Australia for just 155 runs in the final Test, England appeared to be on the verge of winning the tour. England, on the other hand, were all out for 124 while chasing a target of 271, resulting in a 146-run loss.
